CHOOSING THE RIGHT BANNER
When contemplating between screen printed banners and digitally printed banners, here are some things for you to consider.
KBW screen printed light pole banners are printed on either marine acrylic fabric (our quality standard) or polyester marine fabric using heat-set thermo-plastic colorfast inks. For the most durable banners in any weather condition, the marine acrylic fabric is the obvious choice. We have customers who have displayed KBW screen printed banners for over 20 years during holiday season on KBW BannerFlex hardware.
Generally speaking, screened banners are bolder, simpler presentations than most digitally printed banners. Of course, it's mostly in the design process when these decisions are made, so look at the KBW's stock seasonal screen print designs and you will see the difference.
KBW digitally printed light pole banners are generally printed on 18-ounce reinforced vinyl and are the strongest digital vertical light pole banners on the market today. If your graphic needs demand more colors and more photographic-type images, digital may be the way to go. See examples on this site to compare the difference with screened designs. Digital is usually more expensive, depending on quantity, but it can be just the ticket if you need more graphic flexibility or just a few banners in a hurry.
One word of caution with digital banners: we have seen many examples of designers attempting to "get too much" out of a banner by using all the amazing technical options available all on the same banner. This leads to "billboard-looking" banners which may not be appropriate for city or retail light poles.
