Highest Quality Materials for Durability
Our Inks
Consort Display Group uses solvent inks. These inks are more aggressive than aqueous or eco-solvent inks, allowing better adhesion to a wider variety of materials. Because of this, solvent prints will last up to three years outdoors resisting water and UV damage. Indoor banners will have a much longer life.
While solvent inks allow better adhesion to the material (resulting in a more durable product), misuse can and will mar the prints, so a certain amount of care should still be taken when handling these materials.
Our Substrates
Consort is proud to print on the following substrates. Each are proven performance leaders. To request a sample, please contact Consort Display Group's Sales Department at 1-800-525-6424.
Ultraflex JetFlex FL 13 oz. Banner This material is ideal for outdoor applications because of its scrim backing, providing strength and durability. The JetFlex has a smooth matte surface. This fabric has won the prestigious DPI Award two years in a row at the annual SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) Digital Expo.
Herculite Bantex 13 oz. Blackout Herculite's Bantex Blockout banner material is micro-textured for a smooth, highly consistent surface. With the addition of a blockout layer in the middle of the material, the Bantex has the capability of being printed on both sides, making this an ideal choice for indoor banner displays and tradeshow booths.
Herculite Bantex 18 oz. Blackout A heavier duty version of Herculite's Blockout banner material, this substrate provides superior strength and durability, while also able to be printed on both sides. Great for pole banners, "over-the-street" banners and stadium decorations, this material offers very low cold crack, excellent resistance to wind whip and exceptionally long life.
Briteline Printable Rigid PVC This is a 10mil PVC that is a great alternative to banner material for tradeshow booths and retractor stands. For those wanting a perfectly smooth appearance and presentation on any indoor display, this is the choice.
Opti-Solve Vinyl This is a 5mil, calendared vinyl with an adhesive backing, ideal for applying to foam board for tradeshow booths. It is available in either a gloss or matte finish. Because it is a calendared material, it is not as pliable as a cast vinyl and can be handled without a taped overlay. It has excellent ink adhesion, as well as a strong adhesive backing.
Highest Quality Finishing
Our passion for excellence means Consort Display Group finishes all our banners in-house. With over 20 years of experience, our professionals produce a much more durable hem and pole pocket. We use only the highest quality brass grommets and threads available anywhere.

Interior Banners For our interior banners, we single-roll the pole pockets and sew the hems. For double-sided applications, the Bantex material allows us to print front and back on the same material, so side hemming is not necessary. We then single-roll the pole pockets and sew the hems.
Exterior Banners For our exterior banners, we double-roll the pole pockets, sew the hem and apply grommets (when necessary). As with our interior material, the Bantex material is able to be printed front and back, so side hemming is not necessary. We then double-roll the pole pockets and sew the hems.

Horizontal Banners For banners with a horizontal presentation requiring no pole pockets, we sew a 1" hem on the top and bottom, and add grommets where requested. The general standard is one grommet every two feet for ease of hanging, however grommets can be placed wherever you request them.
Lead Times
The lead time for digital printing is 7-10 days from the time your quotation is signed. Below are some factors which may affect the overall lead time for banner orders:
Time required depends on the size and number of individual banners.
Printing cannot proceed without an executed Consort Quote and signed art mockup.
All lead times are affected by peak demand and season.
